Plastic Surgery Trends – The Butt Enhancement Craze!

Plastic Surgery’s Latest Craze: Butt Enhancement via Fat Transfer or Sculptra

The Butt Enhancement Craze is taken over headlines and online publications are featuring articles frequently. A common question women will ask themselves as they age is what the heck happened to their buttocks.  Because unless a person has gained a lot of weight, the inevitable happens and their rear-end deflates (just like one’s face) resulting in a flat often saggy butt (and face). The reason is the loss of both fat, muscle and even bone. Inactivity causes the muscle loss of the gluteal muscles. Adults simply don’t run and play like youngsters. However, look at those who do exercise vigorously. They may have perky fannies, but unfortunately, this doesn’t help the fat loss, so there is still deflation.

Interestingly, a typical scenario is the accumulation of fat that people call the “muffin top,” but also strangely a loss of fat just below the muffin top causing a depression. This  movement of fat from one place to an adjacent area accentuates both problems, the muffin top and the mentioned depression, which many patients call the “hip dip.”

What are some of the latest procedures available for Butt Enhancement?

The quickest way to remove the “muffin top” is by liposuction. This can be done under either local or general anesthesia. The fat can then be injected into the “hip dip” or any part of the buttocks, called fat grafting or fat transfer, and it is very effective. Fat injections into the buttocks is called the “Brazilian butt lift” or BBL. Obviously, a liposuction is necessary to acquire the fat for the injection, and this can be taken from any area of excess fat. However for patients that do not have enough fat Sculptra Aesthetic Injectable is a safe injectable solution for Butt Enhancement.

For those who don’t want surgery or those who do not have enough fat for grafting, a “Sculptra Butt Lift” can be done. This involves injecting the product called Sculptra into the buttocks. This takes about 15 minutes, and there is no downtime at all. As when Sculptra is injected elsewhere, it stimulates volume by stimulating the patient’s collagen production. The volume increases over a period of weeks to months and can last up to 5 years in that area according to reports. Often times a second procedure is desired at 4-6 weeks, and it is an amazing and effective way to increase the volume of the butt. This is an office procedure and only local anesthesia is required. Sculptra can also be used to reduce cellulite in some cases.

How about Cellulite? Can Butt Enhancement Procedures such as Sculptra or Fat Transfer fix that issue?

The only effective way to reduce cellulite for up to 3 years is Cellfina. This takes one treatment under local anesthesia and is approved to last 3 years by the FDA, and my expectations are that it will last longer. Recovery time is generally one or two days. Normal activities can be resumed after that.Cellfina for cellulite can be coupled with other procedures for Butt Enhancement

Cellfina for cellulite can be coupled with other procedures for Butt Enhancement The most common areas for treatment are the buttocks and thighs, and results can be seen in as little as 3 days. Cellfina is for treatment of the dimples called cellulite and not for sagging skin.

THERMITIGHT – THE RADIOFREQUENCY TREATMENT  THAT CAN TIGHTEN SKIN AND REDUCE FAT

If there is also sagging skin the least invasive technique is the ThermiTight, done under local anesthesia. The ThermiTight emits a radio frequency wave which heats the skin to a specific temperature that tightens collagen and elastic, which in turn tightens the skin. All of these procedures can be done simultaneously if requested.

The latest ThermiTight evolution is the Arvati®. This is basically an advanced ThermiTight with much more amperage and improved software and is faster, more effective and results are more consistent. No recovery time is needed in most cases. This is used effectively in areas of loose skin, such as the thighs, neck, arms, love handles, and abdomen.

THERMITIGHT®

ThermiTight® offers a safe and effective single treatment solution for treating signs of aging. ThermiTight® uses the power of safe, radiofrequency energy to stimulate the production of collagen and tighten loose, sagging skin of the face, neck, and body.

What is ThermiTight®?

During the ThermiTight® treatment, a tiny probe is used to gently heat specific tissues to a predetermined therapeutic temperature. After the procedure, a gentle wrap is applied and the patient may resume normal activities the next day.

How it Works

With ThermiTight®, we apply a controlled amount of thermal energy to targeted tissue. The tip of the tiny probe provides constant feedback of the actual temperature during treatment. In addition, an infrared camera is used to monitor skin temperature to ensure that your treatment is both safe and effective.
