WHAT IS THE SILHOUETTE INSTALIFT?

The Silhouette InstaLift is one of the latest nonsurgical methods used to lift the face. The Silhouette Instalift is offered at our Savannah Location for women and men that are not quite ready for a surgical facelift but want to look more youthful and refreshed. Silhouette Instalift Results are pretty amazing when performing it on the right candidate. 

The positive results of an InstaLift include not only more volume to the face (which helps lessen the effects of aging) and the lifting of the face and neck. The uniquely designed  InstaLift threads are what makes the procedure work. They differ from standard or barbed threads because it takes about 1 year to absorb. The threads stimulate the production of collagen over a period of time and thus adding volume to the face. The InstaLift threads have small unidirectional cones integrated into the threads going in opposite directions from the center, which both anchor and pull the cheek up into the desired location.

Who would benefit most from an Instalift?

Instalift work best for patients who are just beginning to see some sagging of the jowls and loss of volume in the cheek area.  It also works for those who have had facelifts and are beginning to see re-occurrence of the jowls. Would fillers work just as well for these issues? Yes, certain fillers such as Juvederm or Restylane products could correct this problem.

Often both the InstaLift along with fillers can be recommended if more volume is needed.  Each patient has unique needs depending on the amount of volume loss, as well as one’s facial and bone structure.  The InstaLift results in tightened skin and stimulates the production of collagen.

The Silhouette InstaLift provides effective mid-face repositioning via two synergistic actions:

1. Immediately lifts and repositions the mid-face tissue

2. Build a Gradual Volume through collagen induction

How is the procedure performed? 

The procedure is performed under mild sedation and takes approximately 1 hour to perform.  After the threads are inserted, there will be small needle marks on both cheeks.  Bruising and swelling are minimal and usually gone in 7 days.  Because the InstaLift threads stimulate collagen growth, the final Instalift results will not be seen for several months; the patient’s appearance will improve within a few weeks  At that time if the patient feels they would like more volume, HA fillers such as Restylane or Juvederm products can be used for instant results.
