PRP Hair Restoration
When hair starts to thin out, it often causes stress and panic. The good news is that we at Hair Restoration Savannah offer ways to fix the problem.
PRP hair restoration is a non-invasive option for combating female hair loss. PRP therapy is a non-surgical procedure. It uses platelet-rich plasma, which our technicians in Savannah obtain by drawing blood from you. We then inject the PRP into the areas where your hair has thinned. The platelets help to repair and regenerate damaged tissue. Which then increases the blood flow to your hair follicles and encourages new growth.

PRP for Skin Rejuvenation
Platelet-rich plasma, or PRP, is a component of your blood that contains unique proteins that stimulate new cell growth and help the body to heal itself. It’s a natural product created from your own body. When injected into specific areas of the skin, PRP acts as a medium that promotes your collagen to grow and regenerate tissue, therefore naturally smoothing and tightening the skin.
The goal of PRP skin rejuvenation therapy is to improve skin tone and texture, tighten skin and soften lines and pores.
You may be a perfect candidate for PRP skin rejuvenation if you want to regain a more youthful appearance with smoother, even skin. As with all medical procedures, excellent candidates are those in good overall health and who have informed, realistic expectations.
An initial consultation with Dr. Finger is the first step to any procedure. There, he will discuss your health history and go over the procedure.
PRP Procedure Explained
A small amount of blood will be drawn from you and placed in a sterile tube that is spun down in a centrifuge to separate the different components of the blood. The machine then divides the red and white blood cells from the platelets and the plasma.
While the PRP prepares, our team will clean and prepare your skin for the injection(s). The procedure is quick, typically less than 30 minutes total, and relatively painless.
After the Procedure
PRP requires no post-procedure care or time off from your daily activities. It’s common to expect mild swelling, redness, or bruising, but that fades within one to three days. Since PRP is made from your cells, it virtually eliminates the possibility of adverse side effects.
Results begin to show three to four weeks after the treatment session and continue to improve with time. Three treatment sessions are generally recommended, spaced one to two months apart, to achieve the best outcome.
Is PRP skin rejuvenation safe?
PRP is an entirely safe procedure, though a skilled and certified physician should always be the one to administer it. The PRP is made from your cells, virtually eliminating the possibility of adverse side effects.
Can PRP be combined with other treatments?
PRP therapy can be combined with laser treatments such as chemical peels, Restylane, Juvederm, Botox and/or Dysport to best target a patient’s unique issues and thus achieve the final goal of younger-looking skin. Maintenance PRP treatments given over time will increase these results.
When can I expect to see results?
Results begin to show three to four weeks after the treatment session and continue to improve with time. For optimal results, Dr. Finger recommends additional PRP treatments.
