Liposuction Surgery

Liposuction surgery is a fast and effective way to reduce stubborn deposits of fat from the hips, thighs, knees, arms, abdomen, neck, chin, and other problem areas. Liposuction surgery is particularly effective in treating those pockets of fatty tissue that have remained unresponsive to diet and exercise.

Breast Liposuction Surgery

Breast liposuction surgery is usually performed with or instead of breast reduction.

Tumescent Liposuction Surgery

Tumescent liposuction is a relatively new and advanced technique that ensures our patients receive the best possible results with the least amount of down time. It is a precise liposuction method that minimizes blood loss during surgery and reduces post-op discomfort, bruising, and swelling. It also allows for the removal of much larger volumes of fat.

The enhanced surgical results of tumescent liposuction surgery are made possible by an anesthetic tumescent liquid, which contains lidocaine, epinephrine, and intravenous fluid. This liquid is injected into the areas of excess fat. In addition to having anesthetic qualities, the fluid causes the troublesome areas of fat to become swollen and firm, or “tumescent.” This swelling facilitates the smooth movement of the cannula, the thin tube used to perform the liposuction.

Tumescent liposuction can be used on any area of the body. It is particularly useful for large areas of fat, or areas like the face, neck, arms, calves, or ankles, abdomen, sides, and back, which demand enhanced precision. Abdominoplasty Surgery, Liposuction Surgery, Tummy Tuck Surgery & Mini Tummy Tuck

Abdominoplasty, or tummy tuck, liposuction involves the removal of excess skin and fatty tissue from the abdominal region. The loss of definition in this area of the body can result from a multitude of factors, the most common being pregnancy, extreme fluctuations in weight, and the rapid weight loss that occurs after gastric bypass surgery. The results of abdominoplasty can be dramatic and the procedure is best recommended to patients who have been unable to achieve their goals through diet and exercise.

Non-Surgical Tummy Tuck

Non-surgical tummy tuck offers the patient an alternative to surgery plus anesthesia and the recovery required for a surgical procedure. There are some compromises in patient selection, however, a non-surgical tummy tuck procedure may also be used with surgery or after surgery for localized areas of stubborn fat removal.

Non-surgical tummy tuck techniques are:

Injection lipolysis, also called lipodissolve, involves injecting a chemical solution derived mostly from lecithin to various areas of fatty deposits. These would include the neck, jowls, abdomen, sides, back, thighs and arms. The solution has yet to be approved by the FDA and thus must be used in select non-surgical tummy tuck patients in an experimental study which we are conducting. Typically, the treatment will take 2 to 3 treatments, but indications are that they are very effective.
Ultrasonic lipolysis requires injections of sterile water with an anesthetic followed by a powerful Ultrasonic massage. The Ultrasonic massage treatment should be done 4 times within the next week. The fat typically dissolves over a period of days to weeks. The ultrasonic massage is also used after injection lipolysis.
Titan and Tri-active lasers are both effective in tightening skin. These non-surgical tummy tuck lasers are performed in our New Youth Medical and Day Spa. These lasers work by heating the collagen fibers and basically shortening them, a process which is delayed.
Non-surgical tummy tuck techniques - Patients must be individualized, and for the best result, the above must be tailored to the patients and may require a combination of the injections with Ultrasonic and even one of the mentioned lasers.

Thigh Lift & Liposuction

The thigh lift is designed to improve the appearance of the thigh and buttocks area through the removal of excess skin and fat and the tightening of the remaining skin. Often following extreme weight loss, skin that was once stretched will be left sagging. The most efficient course of action is to remove the excess skin, through one of two thigh lift procedures. The first is the inner thigh lift, which, as the name implies, tightens the skin from the inner thigh to the front of the knee. The second, is the lateral thigh and buttock lift, which can dramatically tighten and define the thigh and buttock region. Liposuction surgery can be administered in concert with a thigh lift to produce even more dramatic results.

Total Body Lift

Losing weight is one of the hardest and healthiest accomplishments one can achieve. After the weight is gone, excess skin should not be left hanging around. The total body lift not only allows the lower body to be contoured, which was the limit of a traditional lift, but addresses excess skin in the chest, back, abdomen, legs and arms, as well. Some scarring is inevitable with a total body lift, but most will be easily concealed by normal swim wear. The results of total body lift are dramatic.
